The Gastrointestinal Cancers 3-day symposium was co-sponsored by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), the American Gastroenterological Association Institute (AGA Institute), and the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO). The event featured presentations covering the latest strategies in the prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, with individual educational sessions devoted to each subtype of cancer, including esophagus, stomach, hepatobiliary, pancreas, small bowel, colon and rectum cancers.
