US crude oil production will grow faster than previously expected this year and next due to improved well productivity and higher energy prices, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA). The agency lifted its 2023 output forecast to 12.76mn b/d, an increase of 200,000 b/d from a month ago. Production next year will rise to 13.09mn b/d, up from the 12.85mn b/d forecast in July.
