摘要

Capoeta erhani, new species, is described from the Ceyhan drainage, eastern Anatolia. It is distinguished from the other members of the C. trutta species-group (Capoeta species with numerous irregular black spots on the dorsal half of the body and dorsal and caudal fins) by a shorter dorsal fin, a less ossified last simple dorsal-fin ray, fewer scales in lateral line, fewer scales between anal-fin origin and lateral line. The genus Capoeta was last revised by Karaman (1969) who recognized seven validspecies: C. tinea, C. fusca, C. pestai, C. buhsei, C. capoeta, C. trutta and C. barroisi. Karaman also recognized 14 subspecies within C. capoeta, but later authors treated several of them as distinct species. Banarescu (1999) mentioned eleven valid species: C. capoeta (from Kura drainage), C. umbla (from Tigris and Euphrates drainages), C. aculeata (near Tehran, Iran), C. macrolepis (near Tehran, Iran; a synonym of C. aculeata according to Coad & Krupp, 1994), C. tinea (northern Anatolia, western Georgia), C. sieboldii (northern Anatolia, western Transcaucasia), C. pestai (Egridir and Bey§ehir Lakes, Turkey), C. trutta (Tigris, Euphrates and Orontes drainages), C. barroisi (Tigris and Euphrates drain-ages), C. buhsei (Lake Namak basin, Iran), C. saa-di (Mand River, Iran; a synonym of C. damascina according to Coad, 1991,1995), C. fusca (Tedzhen River drainage, eastern Iran) and C. gibbosa (Boch-sani [Bukhsani], Iran; a synonym of C. capoeta accordingto Coad, 1991, 1995). Turan et al. (2006a-b) considered C. capoeta (Kura and Arax drainages), C. angorae (Seyhan, Ceyhan and Orontes drainages, Turkey, Mediterranean basin), C. bergamae (Gediz River, Turkey, Aegean basin) and C. kosswigi (Erci§ Stream, Lake Van basin, Turkey) as valid species and described C. baliki (Sakarya and Kizihrmak drainages, Turkey), C. banarescui (C;oruh drainage, Turkey) and C. ek-mekciae (Cloruh drainage, Turkey).
