Government commits ￡3.75m to fund net zero AI innovations

The government has committed ￡3.75 million of investment into new UK AI technology projects in the hope they will accelerate industrialdecarbonisation across the country.Of the total funding pot, ￡1 million will be shared between 12 projects, with schemes ranging from one seeking to aid solar energy generationby using AI to improve forecasting of when it will best produce energy for the grid, to another seeking to develop AI robots to monitor crop andsoil health in a way that may help decarbonise dairy farming.
