Why do you think Klagenfurt was chosen for the Cities Mission and not Graz or Linz, which also applied? That's a mystery to me myself, because Graz and Linz are actually very well positioned, so why these two cities weren't included in the programme, i can't say. What i can say, however, is why Klagenfurt was chosen: We have presented a good and coherent concept with our smart city strategy and have been working on the topic fora very long time. The political support is also very strong due to municipal council resolutions, and we have already been able to implement smaller prpjects and thus show that we are serious about it. I think it is important to clarify that Klagenfurt is not something special in this respect and will be the only city to ensure climate neutrality in Austria. Just because Klagenfurt is the only city in Austria selected for the EU programme does not mean that other cities and municipalities cannot also participate in the goal of climate neutrality. We can only show how it could be done and hope that other cities and municipalities will join in.
