Work resumes on Poland-Norway gas pipeline

Construction of the Danish part of Baltic Pipe, which will connect Poland to Norwegian gas fields and reduce Poland's reliance on Russian gas, is resuming following a nine month hiatus. Construction was suspended in May 2021 due to an issue with its environmental permit, but barely a week after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Danish environmental authority granted a permit to continue works.
