Atlas Copco has launched a new series of one-handed hydraulic underground handheld rock drills for deep mines. The new drill system, called HRD100, is reportedly one of the most powerful underground handheld rock drills on the market, according to Atlas Copco. With a greater focus throughout the industry on achieving maximum productivity and efficiency, Atlas have designed the HRD100 with a higher drill rate and "considerable energy efficiency compared to conventional pneumatic or electrical rock drills," Atlas said.
