摘要

This study aims to figure out the potential ecological and health risk caused by the pollution of heavy metals in sludge. The study employs Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and Atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS) to detect and analyse the content and morphology of 8 heavy metals in sludge samples. Then, the study uses the Pollution load index (PLI) method, the Nemerow's pollution index (NPI) method, the Potential ecological risk index (PERI) method, and the Health risk assessment (HRA) model to evaluate the ecological risk and health risk of sludge heavy metal pollution. The research findings of this paper reveal that, overall, Zhengzhou's sludge heavy metal pollution is at a light pollution level, and it has a very high ecological risk of Hg pollution, and high ecological risk of Cd, Cu, and As pollution. The sludge heavy metal pollution can cause high non-carcinogenic risk to children; on the whole, it also has certain carcinogenic risk to adults, in per million people, an average of 44 adults and 18 children are at the risk of cancer.
