Northern Eastern Goldfields dataset ready after year's wait

It has taken more than a year for a three-person team from the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources' Geological Survey in Kalgo-orlie-Boulder to compile Phase Two of a geo-science database for the Eastern Goldfields. Now completed, the northern Eastern Gold-fields dataset allows geologists to sit in front of a computer and call up detailed geological data at any scale on any part of this region, instead of having to spend days in the office working with a number of separate maps and additional time in the field to check areas where the boundaries of different vintage conventional maps do not match.
