By some estimates, we have just eight years left to prevent irreversible global warming. Organizations like Architecture 2030 seek to limit warming to 1.5 degrees C, which would require reducing carbon emissions by 50-65 by 2030. It's a tail order, and the potential consequences-more severe heat waves, flooding and precipitation, among others-could affect our buildings and their occupants for decades to come, Fortunately we can do something about it.
