US’ 2022 coke output rose to pre-Covid levels

US full-year petroleum coke production rose to its highest level since before the Covid-19 pandemic last year, as demand for road fuels stabilised. The US produced 40.3mn t of marketable petroleum coke in January-December 2022, increasing by 7pc from 2021, according to the latest data from the US’ Energy Information Administration (EIA).
