Macmahon is picking up the pace at Eaglefield mine

Since being appointed mine operator at the Eaglefield open pit mine in 2003, Macmahon Holding's involvement has grown apace with the demands of the burgeoning export coal market. A recent expansion of its contract has meant greater involvement and substantial additions to the operational equipment register. Located some 200km south west of Mackay in central Queensland, the Eaglefield open pit mine is owned by Peabody Energy Australia. Production from the mine, along with that from the adjacent Peabody-owned North Goonyella underground mine, is railed to the Dalrymple Bay terminal for export.
