US employment in renewable energy, electric vehicle productionand other clean energy industries rose 3.9 in 2022 to 3.1 millionjobs, according to a new report highlighting the strength of astrategically important workforce within the world’s largest economy.That outpaced last year’s jobs growth in the nation’s overallenergy sector and economy as a whole, at 3.8 and 3.1,respectively, the US Energy Department said in its annual USEnergy and Employment Report, released June 28.
