Scoparia juldusellus (Caradja, 1916), a little-known snout moth species new to the fauna of Kyrgyzstan (Lepidoptera: Crambidae: Scopariinae)

The genus Scoparia Haworth, 1811 currently includes 242 described species (Nuss 1999; Goater et al. 2005; Li et al. 2010, 2016; Li 2012; Li Liu 2014). Most of them look very similar superficially having greyish ground color with more or less pronounced blackish wing pattern. Only one light-colored species without wing pattern is known from Central Asia: Scoparia juldusellus (Caradja, 1916). It was originally described in the genus Crambus Fabricius by two specimens from "Juldus" (Juldus Basin in Central Tien Shan, North-West China). B?eszyński (1962) dissected one specimen and basing on the study of male genitalia transferred this species to Scoparia. A lectotype selection made by B?eszyński was later published by Popescu-Gorj (1991). However, in the Chinese revision of the genus Scoparia (Li et al. 2010), S. juldusellus had been omitted.
