The estimates and forecasts contained in this issue of the Quarterly Bulletin of Cocoa Statistics reflect the most recent information available to the Secretariat of the International Cocoa Organization as at the beginning of August 2008. The revisedglobal crop, grindings and stocks data for the 2006/07 and 2007/08 cocoa years are summarized in Table 1. World and regional totals and the most significant changes in country production and grindings figures for 2007/08 compared with the previous year are contained in Tables 2 and 3. Information on cocoa production and grindings in individual countries and trends in individual cocoa producing and cocoa processing countries over the five most recent cocoa seasons is presented in Tables 4 and 5 respectively.
