ECONOMIC development will be uneven as the world emerges from the pandemic, according to the World Economic Forum's Global Risks Perception Survey. The split between the developed world and the developing world is likely to be even more pronounced that it was before the global health crisis. Survey respondents feared that fallout from the pandemic, compounded with labour market imbalances, protectionism and widening digital, education and skills gaps "risk splitting the world into divergent trajectories".
