Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co. has invited oil and gas companies to participate in a 2022 bid round to explore 12 offshore and onshore blocks in the Mediterranean Sea and Delta Nile. The 2022 international bid round for petroleum exploration and exploitation was announced on Twitter by the country’s ministry of petroleum and mineral resources on Dec. 27, asking interested companies to submit their offers by April 30, 2023. Offers should be based on the producing sharing model agreement applied in Egypt, while the purchase of the data package of a block is mandatory to bid for the blocks, it said.
