Lukoil increases coke output by 500,000 t/yr

Lukoil has launched a new residue processing complex, includ- ing a delayed coking unit (DCU), at its 365,000 b/d nizhny Novgorod refnery, allowing the plant to begin exporting petroleum coke. the DCU will yield 500,000 t/yr of petroleum coke, accord- ing to a source close to the refnery. It was originally sched- uled for launch in the fourth quarter of last year.
