Study of the Scattering Characteristics of Navigation Radio-Optical Directional Corner Reflectors

The principle of operation and practical design of a radio-optical directional trihedral corner reflector are described. The radar visibility of radio-optical trihedral corner reflectors as part of navigation markers was evaluated using a four-beam model of propagation and reflection of radio waves over the water surface. The results of field tests of the optical visibility and radar visibility of radio-optical trihedral corner reflectors as part of navigation markers on the Tom' River are presented.
