The author in this article discusses about a simple, easy and economic way of preservation of B Heavy (BHy) Molasses during storage for more than six months without deterioration of TRS and change in pH, Temperature, Brix, and Purity compared to the Control. It is a new simple and Low cost technique in which Ozone -UV Rays are treated after cooling to 40℃ by keeping the treated and control samples in the Laboratory. The Laboratory trials are conducted for a period of 90 days during which treated and control samples are analysed once in 10 days and the average of 3 samples are recorded. As the Laboratory results are found wonderful in respect of maintaining TRS without any change, keeping other parameters within norms a pilot scale trial is also conducted inside the factory by using two Nos. of BHy run off tanks out of which one acted as control. The results of the pilot scale trials with Ozone - UV Rays treatment as preservative keeps the TRS within control to increase the yield of Ethanol. Pilot scale trial results are also entered in Tables for discussion which reveals that Ozone -UV Rays treatment acts as an efficient preservative for BHy Molasses during storage to increase the Ethanol the yield.
