First Record of Ranatra incisa (Hemiptera: Nepidae) in Japan

Ranatra incisa Chen, Nieser et Ho, 2004 was recorded in Japan for the first time, based on specimens collected from the Yaeyama Islands (Ishigaki-jima Island, Kohama-jima Island, Iriomote-jima Island, and Yonaguni-jima Island). All specimens had beenconsidered R. longipes in Japan, although we believe R. longipes is most likely not distributed here.
