Phytochemical investigation of the MeOH extract of Angelica polymorpha stem led to the isolation of a new chromone (compound 9, named polymorphachromic acid). Based on various spectral analyses, including CD spectrum, the structure of the newly identified compound was deduced to be (7S)-5,7-dihydroxy-8,8-dimethyl-4-oxo-6,7-dihydro-4H,8H-pyrano3,2-gchromene-2-carboxylic acid.
