BAM is building a new type of test platform

BAM is building a test platform for the safe operation of hydrogen and hydrogen-natural gas pipelines at a cost of EUR 3.8M. The first parts of the test platform, which consists of various modules and includes a range of testing options that is unique in Europe, are scheduled to go into operation at the beginning of 2023. In addition to the construction of a new gas grid infrastructure for pure hydrogen, the rededication of existing natural gas grids is currently being discussed. A certain percentage of hydrogen is to be fed into these networks.
