Ongoing development work for the various Toyota Hybrid models provides an insight into the product development power that can be leveraged through global technology networks. Engineers at the Toyota Technical Centre in Melbourne (TTCAU) are part of an international team involved in the development of various hybrid vehicle models for Toyota worldwide. In addition to working on Australian projects and production, TTCAU is set up to support hybrid motor control software for any Toyota vehicle. This means TTCAU is used as a global resource in Toyota's international network, as well as for local testing and development.
