摘要

A sharp drop in gross rack-to-retail margins in the final week of 2022 served to illustrate the volatility station operators had to contend with in 2022 even as they saw the year bring margins that achieved record heights. Gasoline margins in the United States were averaging a record 43.5cts/ gal heading into the final week of 2022, according to OPIS MarginPro data. That’s nearly 13cts/gal higher than the 30.8cts/gal average seen in 2021 and well above the previous record of 35.3cts/gal seen in 2020.
