BDP's latest accounts reveal it is giving £16m to its Japanese parent in dividends - while hanging on to more than £700,000 of government furlough cash. The architect, which worked on a series of Nightingale hospitals during the first wave of the covid-19 pandemic last spring, said it had paid Nippon Koei £8m during its last financial year, covering the 12 months to June 2021, and was due to hand over £8m more this year. BDP saw turnover slip 5 to £124m, but pre-tax profit edged up 3 to £13.1m during the period.
