Agroup of Scottish farmers and researchers successfully grew organic oilseed rape crops last season with yields of up to 3.lit/ ha, generating impressive gross margins.After seeing the success of organically grown rapeseed crops in Sweden on a trip last year, independent agronomist Andy Cheetham, of Ceres Agri Services, established organic oilseed rape trials in north-east Scotland, to prove the feasibility of growingthe crop.
