I was born in Melbourne and moved to Brisbane when I was 5yrs old. We lived in suburbia until I was a teenager when we moved to acreage on the outskirts of Brisbane. Dad was a country boy at heart and he and Mum owned a dairy farm when they were first married. This meant that Dad could pretty much fix anything or build anything and I think this is where my love of creating and making came from. We had horses growing up and Dad built the stables and the hayshed himself. I was always more interested in being outside helping him with things like that rather than being inside cooking or sewing with Mum.
