Two 1 million barrel shipments of Russian Arctic crude oil from the port of Murmansk on the Barents Sea are due to offload in Ghana in the coming weeks, as Russian exporters look to widen their net of customers beyond the big three of China, India and Turkey. Most of the oil is expected to be processed at a new Chinese-owned refinery at the port of Tema, outside Accra, that was due to start up operations in late August.
