In our Q223 Alcoholic Drinks Risk/Reward Index (RRI), the Central and EasternEurope (CEE) region ranks third out of the five regions we cover, with an overall score of48.7 out of 100, behind Asia (56.1 out of 100) and ahead of Latin America (45.2 out of 100).Poland leads the region with strong Industry Rewards, largely driven by its highconsumption of alcoholic beverages and spending. The country is also increasingly apopular tourism destination for Western Europe, which provides alcohol majors a secondarymarket with high disposable income to target. The Czech Republic ranks second, withsimilar Rewards, but it benefits from higher Risk scores, making it an attractive and stableenvironment for alcohol majors to operate in. This quarter, we place the spotlight onKazakhstan, which has moved into sixth position in the regional rankings and offersinvestors a growing youth population wit rising disposable incomes in the region withopportunities for the introduction for more premium brand offerings.
