It all started in the library when I found a copy of ICMJ's Prospecting and Mining Journal in the periodicals section. The articles I read about prospectors finding gold with a metal detector caught my interest. Guys like me, with an interest in metal detecting, prospecting and exploration were telling their story about the great outdoors, old mines and mills and finding gold. How great is that!
