Every time I metal detect for gold, I'm always looking for an edge. If I'm in a hydraulic pit or a desert location where I know hundreds of people have detected ahead of me, I try to detect areas they may have missed such as way under brush, in between rocks or in the middle of a steep, difficult slope. The same is true when I'm detecting along a stream. Here, I have found that underwater is an area detectorists often ignore.
