China’s crude steel output in December rose by 24.4pc from November, as mills increased production after cutting more production than mandated from January to November. Crude steel output stood at 86.19mn t last month, about 16.88mn t more than November but down by 6.8pc on year, the national bureau of statistics (NBS) said. The average daily pace increased by 20.3pc over November.
