A Placerville frogman has discovered untapped veins of gold coursing through the Mother Lode. He is amateur diver Ed Warner and the veins he mines are the Sierra streams. One of his early efforts, made with limited equipment, netted three ounces of gold, including small nuggets. Now he is preparing for more golden plunges.
