Argentina’s Energy Secretariat said late April 27 it received bidsto invest $2 billion to build more than 2 GW of renewable powercapacity, surpassing the 620 MW limit of the auction as a plan tobuild new transmission lines is expected to clear bottlenecks forconnecting new projects.“We believe that Argentina has all the capacity to make aquantitative leap in terms of renewable energy,” Energy SecretaryFlavia Royón said on Twitter after the auction.
