The ILP in March announced a new benefit for members, the ability to use your membership to apply for a 'Construction Skills Certification Scheme' (CSCS) card. CSCS cards, also known as 'Professionally Qualified Person' (PQP) cards, show that someone working on a construction has the appropriate training and qualifications for the job they are doing. For most people, this means being able to prove you have a recognised construction-related qualification (usually an NVQ or SVQ) as well as that you've passed the Construction Industry Training Board's (CITB's) Health, Safety and Environment Test for Managers and Professionals within the past two years.
