摘要

Results of the mechanical property and microstructure investigation of small diameter hollow cylindrical billets for body components made of medium-carbon steels after hot piercing in a cross-helical rolling mill, sizing and heat treatment by controlled cooling from rolling heating to sorbite are presented. On the basis of the plastic deformation and heat treatment regimes obtained workpieces are prepared with sizes and mechanical properties corresponding to the technical documentation specifications.
