Within a short span of time since its foundation in 2011, Asian Federation of Early Career Psychiatrists (AFECP) has made remarkable progress in networking and reaching out to young psychiatrists of member countries of Asian Federation of Psychiatric Association (AFPA). The last training and fellowship meet of AFECP at Kochi, India was a grand success and attracted new members (Smirnova et al., 2012).Participation of AFECP in the 3rd Young Psychiatrists' Network (YPN) meeting in Minsk in September 2012 was a landmark event as it was for the first time AFECP participated in an international event outside its geographical area of responsibilities and collaborated with European colleagues on the official basis. Asian psychiatrists were presented in the programme and among participants. This was also a notable event as it was the first international conference of Psychiatrists ever in Belarus (Bezbor-odovs et al., 2012a).
