A training Workshop on 'Augmentation of Milk Productivity and Quality in Dairy Cattle' was organized by SRS of ICAR-NDRI, Adugodi, Bengaluru on March 28, 2022 with the support of IDA(SZ). Mr. C.P. Charles, Chairman, IDA (SZ) was the Chief Guest. Dr. N.K.S. Gowda, Secretary, IDA (SZ), while welcoming the gathering introduced the topic of the training workshop. Dr. K.P. Ramesha, Head, SRS of ICAR-NDRI, Bengaluru in his Presidential address said that even though India ranks first in milk production, many more goals are yet to be achieved. He opined thdt we should strive for enhancement of animal productivity including indigenous cattle breeds. Mr. Charles, while delivering his address narrated the status of dairying in Southern States of India and underscored the need for enhancing the productivity of dairy animal along with ensuring the quality of milk. Dr. S. Subash, Organizing Secretary coordinated the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
