BluCem ZeoGlass is a structural shotcrete designed to extend the service life of assets in highly acidic environments and was named one of two state award winners in Queensland for the Awards for Excellence in Concrete in 2021. Two innovations within ZeoGlass, exemplify excellence in concrete and these two innovations increase the service life of sewer liners from 10-15 years to 40-50 years: (i) ZeoCem which is a new Calcium (Sodium) Aluminosilicate (CAS) cementitious binder. Refined over a five-year period, the ZeoCem binder system incorporates Calcium into the binder matrix, subduing the bacteria's development, greatly reducing the rate of acidic decay. The ZeoCem technology has now been extensively tested in a series of aggressive environments and can be adapted to a range of cementitious products in tunnelling, industrial and wastewater environments.
