摘要

The influence of electromagnetic waves onliving things has been of great concern in recent years.Traditionally, electromagnetic radiation device for cellexperiments has a narrow frequency range and small radiationspace. In this paper, a DC to 5.2-GHz rectangulartransverse electromagnetic (TEM) device for cell experimentsis proposed. The novelty of this research lies inthe wide frequency range and sufficient radiation spaceunder the condition of ensuring the transmission performance.The rectangular device is composed of a closedrectangular coaxial transmission line, tapered transitionregions, inner plate structure, and dielectric supports.After simulation, optimization, and measurement, boththe results of the simulated and measured studies indicatethat reflection coefficient S_(11) is below 10 Db andtransmission coefficient S_(21) is nearly 0 Db. It is demonstratedthat the device has a good transmission performancefrom DC to 5.2 GHz, which meets the requirementfor wideband cell radiation experiments. The proposedrectangular device is a good candidate for cell radiationexperiment device.
