ReFED and Closed Loop Partners have teamed up on a new $100 million Circular Food Solutions Funding Platform that will help scale up food waste reduction solutions. It has an $80 million investment fund, a $10 million grant fund and a $10 million innovation program.Seed funders include Google and The Betsy and Jesse Fink Family Foundation.According to a press release from ReFED, the platform is designed to provide private and philanthropic financing and other support for organizations, municipalities and innovators that are developing solutions to help reduce the 35 of food that goes unsold or uneaten each year in the United States.
