North American Ti02 demand weakens in Q4, still stronger than European, Asian demand

HOUSTON (ICIS)--After seeing robust demand for much of 2021 and H1 2022, demand for titanium dioxide (Ti02) end-users has softened in Q4 2022. Ti02 demand has continued to weaken in North America recently due to seasonality and destocking. Destocking is often seen in Q4, ahead of inventory tax assessments for many petrochemical products. There are additional seasonal components to the downward demand cycle since winter is the traditional slow season for paints and coatings used in housing and construction.
