JUST AFTER THE R8 V10 was shown at the Detroit auto show in January, a question was posed to the folks at Audi's skunkworks ("quattro GmbH") who built the car: Is it worth the USD45,000 premium over the sublime R8 V8? It seemed like a fair question. After all, the R8 V8 is one hell of a car - some could argue that it's better than a Porsche 911 Carrera S in many ways. With such a reputation, change is not always a good thing.
