A senior White House ofcial will visit Saudi Arabia this week, as President Joe Biden’s administration renews calls on Opec+ members to stabilise oil markets. White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan will be the highest-ranking Biden administration ofcial to date to visit Saudi Arabia as part of a broader tour of the Middle East. End- ing the civil confict in Yemen is likely to dominate Sullivan’s agenda, but the White House said Sullivan is also expected to discuss “a range of regional and global challenges”.
