A tracker of gasoline station visits that RBC Capital Marketslaunched in early May had fresh numbers Wednesday thatsuggest an uptick in traffic at over 135,000 stations across theU.S. for the week ended May 5. But the report suggests softerdemand when viewed on a year-to-year basis.Visits to fueling sites during the week rose 1.08 in EastCoast (PADD 1), 2.81 in the Midwest (PADD 2), 3.09 inthe Gulf Coast (PADD 3) and 6.19 in the Rocky Mountains(PADD 4), according to the data. Only the West Coast (PADD5) saw a weekly decrease, falling by 1.44.
