Environmental protection occupies an important position in economic development, and it has become a solid foundation for healthy economic development. With the continuous acceleration of urbanization development and the continuous improvement of social and economic level, people are paying more and more attention to the development of the city, and the requirements for urban garden greening are getting higher and higher, which puts forward higher requirements for urban garden landscape design. In this paper, when designing the garden landscape, combined with the actual development of the city, the ecological and environmental protection elements are applied to the design of the garden landscape, and the configuration and aesthetics of different plants in different regions are fully considered. The research results show that improving the practicability of the landscape is a major trend in the current urban garden plant landscape design. The application of ecological and environmental protection elements to the urban garden plant landscape design can not only improve the quality of the garden landscape, but also fully reflect the sustainable development of the economy.
