Saudi Aramco finds more gas to pursue plans for higher crude exports

Saudi Aramco has discovered two unconventional gas fields, the country’s energy minister said Nov. 30, as OPEC’s biggest producer seeks to lower domestic use of crude and free it up for export. Aramco discovered the Awtad unconventional gas field, southwest of Ghawar, the world’s biggest oil field, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said in a statement.
