WHAT CAN WE WRITE about a pen that hasn't already been written? What words about such a simple yet sublimely powerful object could a humble magazine contributor add to the countless pearls of wisdom on the subject already proffered by some of history's most notable notables? French philosopher Voltaire and English novelist Graham Greene both chimed in on the power of the pen, as did American founding father George Washington and English playwright Edward Bulwer-Lytton, who coined the adage "The pen is mightier than the sword." (However, in our case, perhaps "mightier than the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano" would be more appropriate.)
