摘要

What is the goal of research that attempts to fuse living things and machines on the cellular level using micromachine technology? Keisuke Morishima, Associate Professor at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), noticed the robustness of insect cells and developed micromachines that use insect heart muscle pulsating in a culture liquid as a power source. I talked with him about his work.
